JCJ sat down with Danielle Reyes, also known as Miz Thang, and brought up the Law of Attraction book. “You should’ve taken yourself to Hawaii,” he said. “Go there, find a music job, see what comes to you.”

He smiled, remembering her from UBC. “And hey, there’s no shame in dropping out,” he added. “As long as you keep going back to school and keep chasing something you love—like music.”

JCJ shook his head, thinking of his own family chaos. “My cousin, the one addicted to drugs, he stole our family TV. But hopefully your family got theirs back on Christmas when I left it at St. Joseph’s Church.”

He laughed softly. “Once again… the law of attraction is real.”
